Because of this, the company has grown in strength year in, year out and increased its capability as a way of meeting its customer needs.

Background

“HARED” refers to the first rains that mark the end of a hot dry season. These rains, like the company, bring Hope And Redemption to the people in the affected areas as well as the customers in need of our services. Hared bridges the service gap in the industry by, offering clean petroleum products, earthmoving services, infrastructure constructions and logistic supplies at competitive prices, in a friendly atmosphere, with easy accessibility and at all times. With Hared in the vicinity customers come to understand that they get their money’s worth.

Hared Petroleum Uganda Limited

Hared Petroleum (U) Limited is private company based in Jinja at the Source of the Nile. It was licensed to procure and market Petroleum products in the domestic Uganda market as well as for export. The company commenced operations in the year 2000 and in the last seventeen years gained vast experience in the procurement, handling and sale of fuel products and has grown in size to become the largest indigenous oil company – all due to the focus and zeal of its Directors.

The company has a depot in Jinja and commands a growing retail network of 29 service stations in Uganda with a sizable market share. It is the Directors’ desire to build on this successful growth and extend its operations into the East African market and other International markets.

Management

The aim of the Management is to develop and maintain the highest standards of service to our customers and hence give value for money; to contain company overheads and maintain a low cost base without compromising the quality of service; to encourage innovation and creativity and continuously improve our efficiency and productivity; to generate and maintain a sustainable cash flow, posting consistent returns on investments to achieve investor confidence and continue to conduct business as a responsible corporate member of society at large.

In order to achieve this, Hared foresaw that they had to invest in people. Hared recognizes that employees are at the forefront of its ambitions and can make or break the company.
